Would you like new insight into the life you have led and are leading and also use this insight to make more of your life now and in the future?  If your answer is “yes,” gather a few friends and form a “caring presence” circle.  To be in a circle of friends, each a caring presence, can be a truly enriching experience.

What is a caring presence?

Persons who become caring presences make time for us, clear their minds and make no assumptions that would keep them from hearing everything we have to say.  They try to understand our world and respect our ability to help ourselves.

What is a caring presence circle?

A caring presence circle is formed by friends who—in a helpful, structured way—share personal concerns and stories.  This sharing is designed to promote insight, self-affirmation, and promising paths to more fulfilling lives.  Each meeting is devoted a “life question.”

What are the life questions?

The “life questions” are brief presentations designed to arouse insight into our lives as we have lived them, are living them, and might live them.  Each life question includes an “exploration” that helps the reader arrive at her or his own answer to that question.  Six life questions are presented in this website.

How is a circle created?

Circles are leaderless and form when someone gathers a few friends and makes meeting arrangements.  An invitation form that describes the circle is included in this website and can be distributed to possible participants.  Also included is a suggested plan for sharing in the circle.
